About the role
- A permanent full time or part time position (30.4 hours per week)
- Working from our office in Lilydale alongside a team of 9
- Guide, support and build the team capacity to generate better outcomes
Your new role:
You are a senior practitioner and therefore we want you to bring to extensive knowledge and experience to the role so you can guide and support others in the team. Anglicare Victoria provides foster care for children and young people who are temporarily unable to live at home. Anglicare Victoria is the State’s largest provider of foster care and plays a vital role in protecting children and young people by ensuring they have a safe, stable and nurturing home while their family cannot care for them.
Key responsibilities include: direct casework with children, their families and their carers, case management responsibilities, facilitating contact between children and their families, liaising with external agencies and professionals, participating in staff meetings, participating in regular supervision with Team Leader and attending Professional Development opportunities.
The skills you will use day to day:
- The experience to lead others and offer secondary consults on complex cases
- Providing children & young people with foster care placements that will support their development & maintain safety
- Provide case management to children and young people in foster care placements
- Work collaborative with DFFH and other services providers
- Prepare written reports, maintain records and manage time effectively and efficiently
- Liaise with and coordinate the actions of clients, volunteer caregivers and a range of professionals and other services
